Hello everyone. Today we are meeting as part of Afilog's Women4Warehouse initiative. Today we are with Louise Roger from AEW. Hello. Thank you for being here. My pleasure. We are here to talk about you, to have you tell us about your background and how you came to AEW. Can you tell us about your entire academic and professional path? Of course.
Meaning taking a building from one function to another?
Brownfields, maybe I should explain, because it is a slightly technical term.
These can be technical terms, we saw a bit of that earlier with Guimet: last mile, so that is the big cities, from that main network.
I see, you own the building and so you work for the tenants. Exactly.
Are you mainly in France, in Europe, internationally?
Even before construction, are you sometimes in contact with the user?
And roughly how many projects do you follow at the moment? Right now I am following two development and construction projects. I see, under construction. Yes, exactly. Quite a job, because even a single project is already a lot... A lot of people work on it... Yes, a whole ecosystem. Exactly. Supporting the projects. Really interesting.
OK, really interesting. Thank you so much already for all of that. We are here as part of Women4Warehouse to talk about gender parity and professional equality. Let me ask this: do you think your path would have been different if you were a man? In architecture, is it often female?
Precisely, and it is a question at AEW: do you have gender balance in your team? It is an area where you are gender-balanced. And in general, is there parity at AEW too?
That is exactly what I wanted to ask, do you have initiatives? We are already one, of course. Do you have other initiatives on the topic of parity at AEW?
I see, really interesting. And one last little question: is there, personally, an action you would like to see developed further, either at AEW or in the two other logistics-industrial real estate organizations?
Have you had one yourself, for example?
It is a great example, and it is true that representation matters, and being able to ask everyday-life questions. We were talking with Cyril, concretely, if I become pregnant, what happens to me.
Great. Thank you so much for sharing, for your advice, and I hope it will be followed. Thank you very much. And thank you for your time. Thank you. Goodbye.
